Cambly

Cambly is an English learning platform to connect tutors to learners for group or private tutoring lessons. My work consisted of creating components, templates, guidelines, and design systems for teams throughout the company as part of a global brand refresh. I contributed to discussions on the best ways to integrate new systems into non-designer teams' workflows and helped launch new, rebranded assets throughout the company.

Design Systems and Templates

Following the release of the brand refresh, I created a Brand Design System that explained how to use a series of Figma components and styles for use throughout brand design work. This included color libraries, text styles, photography, graphics systems, device frames and icons.

I also created modified and updated the brand style guide on Standards.site, built components for the product design team, and created a CC Library for the Cambly design team.

Curriculum Templates

As part of the brand refresh, I worked with the English curriculum course development team at Cambly to create a 145-page document containing guidelines and templates in Canva, outlining how to use our colors, text styles, grid system, and photography. This document also contained a series of templates for title, divider, and activity slides to be used by course developers to develop new courses for tutors and learners.

As this document is intended for non-designers, it was important to provide flexible templates that also provided guardrails to assure final courses remained on-brand.
